Higgins-Wilson

Marissa Lynnette Higgins and Ramsey Scott Wilson were united in marriage Nov. 24 at First Baptist Church in Ironton.

The bride is the daughter of Doug and Terrilee Higgins of Ironton. The groom is the son of Mark and Teresa Wilson of Willow Wood.

The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Eric Barnes. The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a CasaBlanca gown with a hand embroidered design and crystals. The gown was accented by a matching finger tip veil. She carried a bouquet of white roses and crystals designed by her aunt. Attendants were maid of honor Meghan Christian, friend of the bride, Gretta Lunsford, cousin of the bride and Destiney Fulks, cousin of the groom. The bridesmaids wore matching Alfred Angelo gowns in burnt orange and carried fall flower bouquets. Flower girls were Emma and Elli Williams, cousins of the bride.

The lighting of the tapers was performed by Allie Pancake and Kaitlyn Payne, cousins of the groom. The guest book attendants were Ashley Pancake and Shelby Belville, cousins of the groom. All flower arrangements were made by the bride’s aunt Kay Higgins. Hostesses for the reception were Patty Belville, Jo-el Whitehead and Kay Higgins.

Groomsmen were best man, Travis Wilson, brother of the groom, Clint Wiseman, friend of the groom, and Todd Fulks, cousin of the groom. Ushers were Chase Higgins and Jacob Browning, cousins of the bride and K. D. Payne and Chad Fulks, cousins of the groom. Ring bearers were Bryce Whitehead, cousin of the groom and John Michael Higgins, cousin of the bride. The unity candle prayer was given by Chad Higgins, cousin of the bride.

After a reception at the Knights of Columbus, the couple honeymooned in the Caribbean. They will reside in Willow Wood.
