COAL GROVE — Got a crack in your windshield? A Coal Grove businessman said fixing it is as easy as, well, 1-2-3.

John Tackett and his wife, Pamela, opened 1-2-3 Auto Glass in February 2006.

The company specializes in replacement glass for both passenger vehicles and heavy equipment.

For John Tackett, the association with cars has been in his blood for a long time.

“When I was younger I worked on cars. I used to cut windshields out and put them in for people. I’ve been working on cars all my life. Once you get into it, you just can’t get out of it,” he said.

After working several years for other outfits, Tackett decided he wanted to open his own business and prides himself on customer service and low prices.

Tackett has mobile service and will go on-site to make repairs.

“With me coming to your work, you don’t have to stop what you’re doing or miss a day of work to get your car fixed,” he said. “This makes it really convenient. And I have gone to where people have been camping and put glass in for people.

“If I time it right, I get in on some barbeque,” he joked.

The shop is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and by appointment on Saturdays. The telephone number is 532-4545.
