ASHLAND, Ky. — A lot of losses didn’t stop the Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers for one win.

Ironton, which lost five seniors from last year’s district qualifier, opened the volleyball season with a win over the Rose Hill Royals, 25-18, 23-25, 26-24.

“It was a good win. We lost a lot of good seniors, so we’re learning how to fill our roles and play as one unit,” said Ironton coach Beth Campbell.
