ROME TOWNSHIP — The rest of Lawrence County might well have been empty with so many people crowding the Lawrence County Fairgrounds Thursday night for the Kellie Pickler concert.

A standing room only crowd greeted the “American Idol” finalist, who was given a key to Lawrence County and a copy of the proclamation making the day Kellie Pickler Day in Lawrence County.

The Pickler concert was the grand finale to an evening-long series of performances, many by area artists.

The fair continues today at the fairgrounds in Rome Township.
