Symmes Valley vs. Portsmouth

WILLOW WOOD - The Symmes Valley Lady Vikings blitzed the Portsmouth Lady Trojans in three sets, 25-19, 25-22 and 25-20 on Wednesday.

Leading scorers for the Lady Vikings were Bridgette Thompson with 14 points and Rebecca Capper and Megan Coomes with 13 points each.

In the junior varsity match, the Lady Vikings won 25-20, 25-21.

Whitney Smith had 12 points, Kathryn Myers 9 points and 4 aces and Haley Pelletier 8 points for the Vikes.

Symmes Valley, 3-1, hosted Portsmouth East Thursday in a Southern Ohio Conference match.

River Valley vs. Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE - The River Valley Lady Raiders breezed their way to an Ohio Valley Conference volleyball win over the Chesapeake Lady Panthers Thursday.

River Valley's varsity won in straight sets, 25-8, 25-15 and 25-10.

"River Valley has a nice team. They work real well together. They're going to be hard to beat by anyone," Chesapeake coach Dana Edwards said.

In the reserve match, River Valley won 22-25, 25-11 and 15-2.

Chesapeake plays Portsmouth and New Boston Saturday in a round robin match at New Boston.

Fairland vs.

Beverly Hills

PROCTORVILLE - The Fairland Junior Lady Dragons volleyball team downed Beverly Hills, W.Va., in both the 7th and 8th grade matches.

The Fairland 8th grade won 25-23 and 25-14. Emily McMaster had 11 points and Jordan Fulks 7 for the Lady Dragons.

Amber Bias had 16 points as the Lady Dragons 7th grade won 25-7, 23-25, 25-8.
