An Ironton man was indicted

last week by a Lawrence County grand jury on charges stemming from a May 6 explosion at his north Ironton home.

Todd Terkhorn, 24, 1747 Kevin St., Ironton, was indicted on one count of unlawful possession of dangerous ordinance and illegal manufacturing or processing of explosives, a second-degree felony, a first-degree felony of aggravated arson, a fourth-degree felony of inducing a panic and a second-degree felony charge of aggravated arson.

Terkhorn was arrested May 6 after a homemade explosive device ripped through the second floor of his home and started a fire.

The explosion in an upstairs bathroom blew a hole, approximately 5 feet in diameter in one end of the second floor of the house. The blast blew a second-story window into a neighbor's yard.

The blast left an 18-foot gap between the wall and the roof on one end of the second floor of the Terkhorn house.

Components for a second explosive device were found in the console of a Nissan Maxima parked in front of the house. Half of a city block was evacuated as a precaution.

Terkhorn is set to appear in court July 19 for a preliminary hearing.

A husband-and-wife duo were indicted for breaking and entering and theft.

Pauline Jenkins, 33, of 6886 County Road 6, Kitts Hill, was charged with two fifth-degree felony counts of breaking and entering and one misdemeanor count of theft.

Her husband, Christopher L. Jenkins, 27, was charged with the same crimes.

According to information from the Lawrence County Prosecutor's Office, others indicted by the grand jury were:

4William J. Pennington, 41, of 737 Marion Pike, Coal Grove a fifth degree felony charge of vandalism, a first-degree misdemeanor charge of menacing, and a second-degree felony charge of burglary.

4Roy J. Ruggles, 53, 1914 Center St., Cattletsburg, Ky., one count of second-degree felony burglary.

4Scotty Jenkins, 23, 317 County Road 181, Ironton, two counts of felonious assault on police officers.

4Darren J. Wooden, 23, of Columbus, failure to comply with order or signal of police officer, a third-degree felony.

4Aaron Black, 35, of Greenup, Ky., a fourth-degree felony count of trafficking in crack-cocaine, third-degree felony count of tampering with evidence, and a second-degree misdemeanor count of resisting arrest.

4Christina Emory, 23, of Flatwoods, Ky., one count of permitting drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony.

4Donald Dalton, 49, 887 County Road 24, Ironton, two counts of theft from an elderly person as a fourth-degree felony, and one count of theft from an elderly person as a fifth-degree felony.

4Jeff McComas, 143 Township Road 1012, South Point, a fourth-degree felony count of assault on a peace officer, a fourth-degree felony charge of vandalism, a first-degree misdemeanor count of falsification, and first-degree misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest and theft.

4Richard Taylor, 37, most recently of 93 Township Road 1123, Proctorville, 10 counts of fifth-degree felony theft by deception, one count of first-degree misdemeanor theft by deception, and two counts of fourth-degree felony theft by deception.

4Jalon Fox, 27, 158 Township Road 1020, South Point, fifth-degree felony charges of possessing criminal tools and trafficking in marijuana.

4Dewayne Foster, 22, of Columbus, a first-degree felony charge of trafficking in crack-cocaine with a gun specification, a third-degree felony charge of having weapons while under disability, a fifth-degree felony count of possessing criminal tools, a first-degree felony charge of possessing crack-cocaine.

4Christopher A. Prince, 23, of Columbus, trafficking in crack-cocaine and possession of crack-cocaine, both first-degree felonies.

4Kanton L. Talley, 21, of Columbus, trafficking and possession of crack-cocaine, both first-degree felonies.

4Randy A. Farris, 37, a fourth-degree felony charge of arson, and a fifth-degree felony charge of breaking and entering.

4Charles D. Baldridge, 28, of Kenova, W.Va., failure to comply with order or signal of police officer, a third-degree felony, receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony, and resisting arrest, a second-degree misdemeanor.
