In a show that includes such

standards as "My Funny Valentine" and "The Shadow of Your Smile," Keffer tries to put such honesty and emotion into her performance so that the audience will be left with the impression that every song is a personal experience for the performer.

Keffer, who has performed at several local venues, expressed her pleasure at performing this particular show.

"My mother is a cancer survivor, so this cause is personal for me. I appreciate the opportunity to work with the students of Ohio University Southern in celebrating survivorship and raising money to help find a cure," Keffer said. "And, it's always fun to perform for a home crowd!"

Derek Withrow, a senior at Ohio University Southern, is excited about the Relay for Life team.

"It is a great honor and pleasure to volunteer for such a great cause," he said. "We are affected so much in our lives by cancer.

It's time we fight back."

Co-captain of the student team, Belinda Parker, echoed Withrow's sentiments.

"The Relay is an excellent opportunity for the students to give back to the community," she said. "We are grateful to Dr. Keffer for donating so much of her time and energy to this worthy endeavor.

"She is an excellent performer, and the concert will be a great opportunity for the community to take part in our fund raising efforts while enjoying a night of musical entertainment."

Admission price for the concert is $5 For more information, contact Nina Queen at (740) 533-4602 or 800-626-0513.
