Brianna Davis had a special season. The Associated Press agreed.

Davis, the Fairland Lady Dragons' 5-foot-5 junior guard, was named to the Associated Press Division II All-Ohio girls basketball team Monday.

Davis averaged 15 points a game for the Lady Dragons who finished the regular season 9-11 and third in the Ohio Valley Conference.

Davis was named honorable mention after being selected to the Southeast Ohio All-District second team.

Rachele Fitz of Garfield Heights Trinity was named the Player of the Year. Jim Miranda of Columbus Eastmoor Academy and Marty Bice of Dresden Tri-Valley were named Co-Coaches of the Year.

In Division I, Michelle Jones of Cincinnati Mt. Notre Dame, Maria Getty of Dayton Chaminade-Julienne and Megan Skouby of Mentor shared Player of the Year honors.

Manny May of Toledo Waite was the Coach of the Year.
