If.

It is only two letters, but it's one of the biggest words in the English language, and it's a big word for the Ironton Fighting Tigers and Lady Tigers basketball teams.

If the Lady Tigers win Friday's Division III state semifinal game and if the boys win Thursday's Division III regional semifinal game, the boys' regional championship game could be moved.

Ironton athletic director Terry Parker should be given the final word Tuesday regarding the move.

The regional final is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

The game could be moved to noon.

However, if Chesapeake wins or the Ironton girls lose, the championship game will remain at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers will leave for the state tournament at noon on Thursday for any fans who want to give the team a send off.

Parker said each team will take an Ironton team Greyhound bus.

"I'm glad I didn't sell the old bus yet," Parker said.

In the event the Lady Tigers win Friday's game against South Euclid Regina, fans may use their ticket stubs to purchase the same seats for the state championship game.
