PORTSMOUTH — Green stayed close but the Notre Dame Lady Titans proved to be too strong.

The Lady Bobcats were tied in the fourth inning before the Lady Titans pulled away to an 11-2 Southern Ohio Conference win on Monday.

“We played well for four innings and (Jenna) Crawford pitched a heck of a game throwing strikes. We just had some breakdowns and you can’t do that against a good team,” said Green coach Dale Royse.

Green (7-9, 4-4) managed just two hits as Crawford singled and Krashawna Jones doubled.

A walk to Sammi Crisp, a single by Crawford and an error gave Green a 1-0 lead in the top of the first.

Notre Dame got a run in the first and second but Green tied the game with a run in the fourth when Jones doubled and came home on an error.

But the Lady Titans scored two in the bottom of the inning, two more in the fifth and five in the sixth.
