Advance registration is required by visiting or calling the South Point branch library at 740-377-2288.

AARP members must present their membership cards to receive the member rate and participants must provide their drivers license numbers when registering.

Sponsored by the AARP in partnership with Briggs Library, the Driver Safety Course is a classroom driver improvement program for all drivers but specifically designed for those age 50 and older. This program, developed by AARP, can sharpen driving skills, help prevent accidents and keep older drivers on the road longer and more safely.

For many drivers, the safe driving program can also save money on car insurance. Ohio law permits auto insurance carriers to offer a discount on premiums to qualified graduates of the approved AARP class. Policyholders should contact their carriers for more information about such discounts.
