A man who drove while intoxicated and caused an accident that injured his child pleaded guilty Wednesday in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.

Mark Patrick, 45, of 2305 S. 12th St., Ironton, pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular assault, endangering children, driving while intoxicated and driving without a license.

Judge Charles Cooper sentenced Patrick to a total of four years in prison and fined him $500. By law, Patrick’s driver’s license was revoked for two years.

Patrick was arrested by Ironton Police in late February after a traffic accident in the 3700 block of South Third Street. Patrick’s three-year-old son was injured in the crash and taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va.

In another case, two brothers pleaded guilty to charges they took equipment from an area Giovanni’s restaurant and I-beams from Engines, Inc. in South Point.

James G. Cassidy, 27, and John Q. Cassidy, 40, both of 202 Anna Clinton St., South Point, each pleaded guilty to two counts of theft.

Judge D. Scott Bowling sentenced each man to four years community control sanctions under intensive supervised probation (CCS/ISP) and ordered each man to successfully complete a rehabilitation program at the STAR Community Justice Center.

Bowling further ordered the two men to pay $2,350 in restitution.

Brad Cain, 34, of Pleasantville, pleaded guilty to criminal non-support in the care of his two children. Bowling sentenced him to four years CCS/ISP and ordered him to pay $200 monthly toward his $19,623 arrearage as well as remain current with his child support payments.

William Webb, 24, of 2315 County Road 30, Kitts Hill, pleaded guilty to five counts of breaking and entering, one count of grand theft and one count of vandalism. Cooper sentenced him to a total of four years in prison and ordered him to pay $10,600 in restitution.

Eric Collins, 20, of 3997 State Route 243, Ironton, pleaded guilty to one count of grand theft of firearms. In exchange for his guilty plea, one count of grand theft of firearms was dismissed.

Cooper sentenced him to four years CCS/ISP and ordered him to successfully complete a rehabilitation program at the STAR Community Justice Center.

Lee I. Woodlee, 37, of 56 Township Road 1039, Chesapeake, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of heroin. Bowling sentenced Woodlee to 8 months in prison and fined him $1,250.
