Spotlight dinner set for Thursday

J. Mark Mcvey brings his incredible talent to Ironton High School Thursday evening as a part of the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce Spotlight Dinner, Show and Auction.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with a reception and silent auction. Dinner will be served at 6:45 p.m. with catering by Bellefonte Country Club. A special pre-show with the Ironton High School Varsity Singers begins at 7:45 p.m. with the main event set to begin at 8:05 p.m. with J. Mark McVey.

The master of ceremonies for the evening will be WSAZ-TV news anchor, Tim Irr. Following the concert, silent auction winners will be announced and there will be a dessert reception.

The special benefit performance will be used to fund scholarships at each of the county’s eight high schools plus the Collins Career Center.

Tickets may be purchased for the concert portion of the evening at Ohio River Bank locations in Ironton and Proctorville, Foodfair locations in Coal Grove, South Point and Proctorville and at locations in Huntington and Barboursville. Tickets may also be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce office in South Point.

Concert tickets are $35 for adults and $25 for students. Silent Auction highlights include a Jimmy Buffett guitar, a Joey Votto bat, a wide variety of other sports memorabilia, week-long trips to Florida, and Myrtle Beach, S.C., a special package for Gatlinburg, Tenn. and a Supreme Cincinnati Reds package including premier seats, with buffet and free parking.
