PEDRO — Sometimes two pitchers are better than one.

Drew Kidd went three innings and Jonathan Schob two as the pair combined for 13 strikeouts among the 15 outs to lead the Rock Hill Redmen past the South Gallia Rebels 19-0 in five innings Tuesday.

The pair limited South Gallia to only three hits.

“Kidd and Schob threw strikes and that’s what I wanted out of them,” said Rock Hill coach Barry Litteral. “Both of them threw well. This gave them some experience that’s going to help them the rest of this year and next year, too.”

Alex Bare — using a wooden bat — went 4-4 to lead Rock Hill’s 15-hit attack. Shane Russell was 3-4 and Devin Darby 2-4.

Josh Malone, Jeremy Blagg, Russell and Bare all had doubles.

Seth Hayner had all three South Gallia hits.
