A South Point man was arrested Saturday after an incident at the Lawrence County Fair, according to the sheriff's office.

Jason Ratcliff, 23, of 184 Jefferson Ave., was charged with assault.

The alleged victim, Randy Davis, 30, of 11 Smith Lane, Proctorville, told authorities Ratcliff confronted him in the demolition derby parking area, asking him about money members of Davis’ family allegedly owed members of Ratcliff’s family.

When questioned by Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies, Ratcliff allegedly admitted hitting Davis.
