Charles Clay

Charles C. Clay, 74 of Gahanna, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012. He was born on March 12, 1938, to the late Frank and Mary Belle (Miller) Clay in Waterloo.

Charles was a member of Brookside Baptist Church for 30 years and retired after 40+ years with Mid-Ohio Electric.

He is survived by wife of 55 years, Geraldine (Watson) Clay; children, Larry (Gay) Clay and Cathy (Bill) Green; grandchildren, Jason (Katie) Clay, Richard Green, Jessica (Greg) Stelmach, Rebecca Green; great granddaughter, Aubree Clay, one brother, Leonard Clay and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Elizabeth, Katherine, Annette and Milda; six brothers, John, Robert, William, Paul, Gene and Williard.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Brookside Baptist Church, 590 Lancaster Ave., Reynoldsburg with Pastor John Hays officiating. Burial will follow at Mifflin Cemetery in Gahanna. Friends may call 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home in Pataskala. Memorial contributions may be directed to The Kobacker House 800 McConnell Dr., Columbus, Ohio 43214. James Rowe

James Rowe, 67, of Chesapeake, died Sunday, Aug.19, 2012, at River’s Bend Health Care.  Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is in charge of arrangements, which are incomplete.

 

Georgia Shipley

Mrs. Georgia Shipley, 91, of Ironton, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at Jolin Health Center. Funeral Arrangements are pending at the Tracy Brammer–Monroe Funeral Home.
