Aug. 9, 1940-June 12, 2002SOUTH POINT -- Mary Ellen Carrico Pack, 61, of South Point died Wednesday at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, Russell, Ky.

The Getaway native was born Aug. 9, 1940 in Getaway, the daughter of the late Paul Vernon and Leona Mae Gillette Carrico.

She was the wife of Dr. David A. Pack of South Point, who survives.

She was a homemaker and a member of the South Point Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she

also was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Edward Carrico.

Survivors in addition to her husband include one daughter, Paula Jean Pack, D.C. of Ironton; two sons, Michael David Pack of Berry, Ky. and Mark Stephen Pack, M.D. of Ironton; one sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn Sue and George Davis of South Point; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lowell Vernon and Sue Carrico and Roger Phillip and Cheryl Carrico of South Point; and four grandchildren.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Steve Harvey officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
