Starting with today’s edition of the Ironton Tribune, Profile 2002 kicks off.

This year, we are doing something a little different. Rather than printing the annual special section in one issue, we will print two special sections in each of the next four Sunday editions.

Inside today’s paper, you will find Industry and Technology and The Way We Were. The Industry and Technology section focuses on the economic outlook for our area, how technology has advanced and how the county’s industrial sector has changed in recent years.

The Way We Were is a historical look at Lawrence County through pictures – an old photo album so to speak. Also included in the section is a reprint of an article about the great flood of ’37 from the Feb. 2, 1937 edition of The Ironton News.

The remainder of the Profile 2002 schedule is as follows:

– Feb. 10: Health and Wellness; Places to Go.

– Feb. 17: Commerce; Government.

– Feb. 24: Education; Citizen of the Year.
