PEDRO — The Rock Hill Redmen might want to skip the first two quarters and go straight to the second half.

For the second week in a row, the Redmen played well in the second half but still suffered a loss as the Lucasville Valley Indians took a 28-0 halftime lead and went on to win 40-13.

The Indians (2-0) got the only score of the third quarter on a defensive play as they returned an interception 17 yards for a touchdown.

Rock Hill (0-2) scored a 33-yard run by Chance Blankenship and Jacob Malone’s kick made it 34-7.

Valley came back to get a score but the Redmen answered with Malone’s 5-yard scoring run and it was 40-13.

Blankenship led a balanced running game with 42 yards on seven carries. Malone added 39 yards on 11 carries.

Nate Arnett ran 10 times for 143 yards and two touchdowns to lead Valley.

Rock Hill hosts Oak Hill on Friday.
