Ironton firefighters responded to a house fire early Sunday evening on the city’s north end. IFD Capt. Mike Hasenauer said the fire department received the call around 5 p.m., reporting a house fire at the home of Ted Riedel, 212 N. Seventh St. Hasenauer said the fire caused extensive damage to the front and downstairs part of the house. No one was at home when the fire started. The fire remains under investigation.
