CHILLICOTHE — U.S. Route 52 in the New Boston and Portsmouth is now open to traffic in the east and westbound direction following an accident involving a fuel truck earlier today.

Law enforcement officials have cleared the scene and reopened the route at the route’s 23.8-mile marker, or the city-village corporation limit near the filtration plant.
