CHESAPEAKE – It was time to tool and re-tool.

Chesapeake Panthers track coach Phil Davis moved runners around and still came away with an easy win in a triangular meet Tuesday.

Chesapeake rolled up 91 points while Spring Valley had 40 and Wayne 34.

Leading the way for the Panthers were Eric Myers who won the shot put and discus and Michael Hunt who won the 110 and 300 hurdles.

"Michael ran a real nice time in the 300 hurdles, and the 144-2 was the best for Erick in the disc this year," said Davis. "Everything else we kind of moved people around to get a different look and to have some fun."

In the girls meet, Chesapeake rolled to the win with 100 points. Spring Valley scored 36 and Wayne 22.

Michelle Christian captured the high jump at 5-feet and won both the 100 and 300 hurdles. Lisa Perry was first in the 100 and 200 meter dashes while Laura King had a double win as she took the shot put and the discus.

The Panthers will run in the Giovanni’s Pizza/Coal Grove Invitational Thursday.
