After getting a “W,” the St. Joseph Female Flyers need to get some “Zs.”

Playing their third game in four days, the weary Female Flyers beat the Rose Hill (Ky.) Christian Lady Royals 60-37 on Thursday.

“We’ve played three games in four days and we played like it. We only had seven girls available. It was mental and physical fatigue,” said St. Joseph coach Nick Miller.

Lynsey Booker gave St. Joseph a dose of No-Doz as she scored a career-high 19 points. Hannah Miller scored 18 for the Female Flyers (5-1) who played without second-leading scorer Amber Neal due to an injury.

“Lynsey Booker had a real nice game for us. She’s just a freshman and she’s still learning, but she did a nice job,” said coach Miller. “I thought Rachel Martin stepped in an did a nice job and Hannah Martin gave us a good effort.”

Hannah Mille had 7 points in the first quarter but Madison scored scored 5 points and Myriah Porter 4 as Rose Hill took a 15-13 lead.

But Booker erupted for 9 points in the second quarter and the Female Flyers rallied to take a 26-18 halftime lead.

Hannah Miller scored 6 points and Molly Miller and Booker had 4 each as St. Joseph opened up a 42-26 lead after three quarters.

Hannah Martin had 5 points and Rachel Martin and Booker 4 each in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

St. Joseph hosts Ohio Valley Christian at 6 p.m. next Thursday.
