HANGING ROCK — Hanging Rock Mayor Christopher Davidson, 43, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs by the Ohio State Highway Patrol early Sunday morning, according to the patrol.

Davidson was booked into the Lawrence County Jail at 2:33 a.m. Sunday on the DUI charge and subsequently released, according to information from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

Further details of the incident were not available by press time. Attempts to contact Davidson were unsuccessful.

Davidson is scheduled for an arraignment this afternoon in Ironton Municipal Court.
