Unbeaten Oaks down Redmen

PEDRO — The Oak Hill Oaks had one bad quarter. Unfortunately for the Rock Hill Redmen, they had two.

The Oaks got only 3 points in the third quarter, but the Redmen had quarters of 6 and 8 and as a result lost 57-37 to unbeaten Oak Hill.

Oak Hill jumped out to a 19-6 first quarter lead and built a 39-19 halftime cushion.

Rock Hill held the Oaks to 3 points in the third quarter but managed only 8 points and trailed 42-27.

Austin Collins had 14 points and Jacob Falls scored 13 for the Redmen (2-5).

Garrin Stiltner led three Oaks in double figures with 22 points. Luke Hammond scored 17 and Kyle Love had 10.

Oak Hill is now 8-0 overall. The win was career victory No. 630 for Oak Hill head coach Norm Persin.

Rock Hill visits Portsmouth West on Wednesday.
