Ironton High School sophomore Courtney Kerns, 15, left, helps cheer on the Fighting Tigers during the team’s battle for the Division IV state championship in Massillon Saturday. The Fighting Tigers lost their state title bid in a heartbreaker with the Sandusky Perkins Pirates, 16-14. Making sure that her voice could be heard over the roar of the crowd, Christina Williams, 15, also a sophomore, uses a megaphone.
