First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ to host seminar

ASHLAND, Ky. — The Bible’s New Testament will be explored and experienced in a one-day seminar — “Walk Through the New Testament” — April 17 at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Ashland, according to Rev. Isaac Nicholson, the church’s senior minister.

The day-long seminar is open to all. The cost of the seminar, including lunch, is $20 per person.

“This is a fun and life-changing seminar,” said Rev. Nicholson. “It is appropriate for both adults and young adults. In just a few short hours, this seminar will help people understand 77 people, places and events of the Bible’s New Testament.

“This is a professionally taught seminar by a Christian organization with headquarters in Atlanta,” Nicholson said. “Its teachers provide a unique learning experience for all Christians.”

The seminar will be led by “Walk Through the Bible’s” Larry Bell. Bell, a resident of Bridgeport, W. Va., has directed more than 360 of the organization’s seminars.

Much of the cost of the seminar is being underwritten by First Christian Church’s Evangelism Department. The registration cost covers materials, assists with seminar expenses, and lunch. The seminar starts at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 4 p.m., April 17.
