Helen Waller

May 4, 1928-March 12, 2013

Helen Joy Waller, 84, of Ironton, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.  The Ashland native was born May 4, 1928, a daughter to the late, George and Bertha (Fraley) Dobbins.  Helen is survived by her husband of 63 years, James P. Waller of Ironton.

Helen attended Ashland schools and was of the Christian faith.  She also served her family whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her husband, Helen is survived by two daughters, Sharon (John) Faulkner of Ashland, Ky. and Jennifer McCann of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two granddaughters, Heather (Jason) Cook of Raceland, Ky.. and Rebekah McCann of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; three grandsons, Aaron McCann, David (Elise) McCann and Michael McCann all of Myrtle Beach; and three great grandchildren, Brittany and Braden Cook both of Raceland, Ky. and Leland McCann of Myrtle Beach.

In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by a infant brother, Gene Dobbins.

Funeral services will be noon Friday at the Tracy Brammer – Monroe Funeral Home with Brother Ora Cox officiating.  Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens in South Point.  Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  In addition to flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Helen’s memory to the Lawrence County Humane Society, P.O. Box 412, Ironton, OH 45638. Pallbearers are John Faulkner, Jason Cook, Greg McCann, Aaron McCann, David McCann, and Michael McCann. Norma Rosenkrantz

July 26, 1943-March 12, 2013

Norma Jeane Rosenkrantz, 69, of Ashland, Ky., passed away Tuesday evening March 12, 2013, at the Community Hospice Care Center with all four of her children at her side. She was born on July 26, 1943, to the late Charles Elmer Adkins and Elsie Lucille Martin Adkins Waugh. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin “Benny” Rosenkrantz, and a brother James Adkins.

She was formerly the owner of Stone’s Grill and Benny’s Depot in Ironton and was a loving and devoted mother and homemaker. She was amazingly artistic with a natural God-given ability and vision. She will always be remembered for her generosity and compassion towards her family, friends and strangers alike.

Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Todd R. Bradley and wife, Carolyn of Fayetteville; daughters, Kymberly Jean Edwards and husband, Les Waller of Sausalito, Calif., Lisa Crase and husband, Ben of Ashland, Ky., and Jonda Deeds and her friend, John McCabe of Ironton; brothers, Charles Adkins, Kenneth Adkins and wife, Diane and Douglas Adkins and wife, Laura, all of Ashland, Ky.; a sister Jerri Daugherty of Ashland, Ky.; a sister-in-law, Rae Jean Adkins of Ashland, Ky.; grandchildren, Michael Gannon, Jessica Edwards, Alex Deeds, Logan Kline, Indi Wilks, Zachary Miller and Miranda Miller; great grandchildren, Gatlin Wilks, Mason Wilks, Sawyer Miller, Kennedy Miller, Andrew Gannon and Allison Gannon; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel with Pastor Rob Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Earl Conley

Aug. 2, 1939-March 12, 2013

Earl W. Conley, Jr., 73, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at his residence. The Coal Grove, native was born Aug. 2, 1939, the son of the late Earl Conley Sr. and Ethel Mae Davidson Conley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Delores Jean Jarrells Conley.

Mr. Conley was a graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School and a member of the Main Street Freewill Baptist Church in Coal Grove.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Conley and Johnny Conley.

He is survived by companion, Janice Davis of Ironton; son, Shane and Pauline Conley of Huntington, W.Va.; four granddaughters, Paige, Ceirra, Katelynn, and Grace Conley; two brothers, Fred Conley of Ironton and David Conley of Coal Grove; and a sister, Mary Ann Conley of Ironton.
