Isaac Brown

Isaac Dale Brown, 74, of Ashland, Ky., passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. Isaac was born on Sept. 9, 1938, in Kitts Hill, son of the late Wesley Thomas and Josie Roberts Brown. He is survived by his wife Cecilia Dheel Brown; and retired from Sturn Machine Shop as a machinist.

He was also preceded in death by daughters, Patricia Lynn and Tiffany Joy Brown; brothers, Raymond and James Brown; and sisters, Ruth Barclay and Louise Steinbrecher. Additional survivors include, son, Louis Dale Brown; two daughters, Velvet Jean (George Eddie) Price of Ashland; and Sharmie Ann Smith of Cleveland; nine grandchildren, Kristopher Dale and Travis Wayne Brown, Benjamin Edward (Rebekah) Price, Olivia DeAnn and Landon Timothy Price, Christopher Evan Smith, Ciara Diane and Zachary Dean Gibson, and Derek Charles Laszlo; two great-grandchildren, Dominic Alexander Shuran-Smith, and Tiffany Addison Moira Price; a brother, Norman Gay Brown; and sister, Sharon Kay (Herb) Sparks.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Grace Church of the Nazarene in Ashland with the Rev. Curt Skeens officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church. A private family interment in Ashland Cemetery will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Lazear Funeral Home.

 

 

Robert Mullen

Robert Pierce Mullen, 83, of Greenup, Ky., formerly of Huntington, W.Va., died Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Preston Family Funeral Home, Ashland. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens, Flatwoods, Ky. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today. Linda B. Estep, 66, of Chesapeake, died Thursday, April 11, 2013, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, W.Va. She is survived by her husband, Jimmie R. Estep. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville.
