James Morton

James Morton, 48, formerly of Coal Grove died in Orlando, Fla., Sunday, May 5, 2013. He was born in Louisville, Ky., on July 18, 1964, the son of the Harvey and the late Barbara Short Morton of Coal Grove.

He was a Coal Grove High School graduate, of the Baptist faith and worked in construction. Survivors include his wife Jennifer Morton; one son, Anthony Morton of Debary, Fla.; two brothers, Raymond R. Morton of Ironton, and Bruce Morton of Coal Grove; and one sister, Alice Morton of South Point. He was preceded in death by one sister, Theresa Massie.

Graveside services will be at Slab Fork Cemetery. County Road 4, at 1 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Darrell Huffman officiating. O’Keefe Baker Funeral is in charge of arrangements.
