The state medical board hearing for the doctor who was once the physician at a former Ironton clinic, set for this past Monday, has been rescheduled for October.

Dr. Adam Hall, 39, of Powell, was the physician at the Pinnacle Wellness and Longevity Center, at 407 S. Third St., Suite B, Ironton, until the state shut down the clinic in April. The clinic was closed at the same time as the suspension of Hall’s license by the State of Ohio Medical Board.

A month after the suspension, Hall made a formal request to the board for a hearing, which was originally scheduled for May 15. That hearing was continued to July 15. Now that hearing date has been rescheduled to Oct. 2 following a request by Hall.

The Pinnacle clinic had been under investigation by the office of the Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine for the past year. In March members of DeWine’s staff along with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on the files of the clinic.

The suspension of Hall’s license was based on allegations that Hall only worked three or four days a month at the Ironton center that he would “ routinely stamp and/or pre-sign blank prescription slips for office staff to subsequently complete at a later date in order to provide patients with drugs, including controlled substances, prior to Dr. Hall’s return the following month,” according to the medical board.

The upcoming hearing may last up to three days and there will be no action taken at that time. A decision will come from the board at a later date.
