ANNA PALMER

Anna Loretta Palmer, 94, of Ironton, passed away Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at Kingsbrook Lifecare Center in Ashland, Ky. She was born Jan. 2, 1916, in Ironton, the daughter of the late Frank and Rosemary Cannon Gagai. She was a member of St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church in Ironton, where she was a part of the Catholic Women’s Club and served on the Parish Council. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Palmer, who passed away Oct. 24, 1997; one son, Mark W. Palmer, who passed away on Sept. 10, 1989; one brother, Frank Gagai; and three sisters: Marguerite Osterman, Rosemary Rudmann, and Imelda (Mel) Christian.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Randy Guthrie of South Point; two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul E. and Patty Palmer of Ironton and Daniel and Gail Palmer of Bellefonte, Ky; one brother, Andrew (June) Gagai of Ironton; eight grandchildren, Todd Palmer, Ed Palmer, Scott and Leslie Palmer, Erica Guthrie, Ryan Guthrie, Travis and Paula King, Mark Palmer and Amy Palmer; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church, Ironton with Father David Huffman, Father Tim Kozak, and Father John Noe officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, where there will be a Prayer Service at 8:30 p.m. at Tracy Brammer Funeral Home.
