COAL GROVE — James Lincoln Stewart V, 58, of Coal Grove, passed away Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at a local health care center. He was born Feb. 21, 1952, the son of the late James Lincoln IV and Essie Daniels Stewart.
James graduated from Green Township in 1970, and had one year at Ohio State University. While growing up he did various jobs, such as farming, putting up hay and painting the Ironton-Russell Bridge. He also was a former employee for Ironton Iron (formerly the Dayton Malleable and Amcast), where he was a timekeeper clerk. He loved playing music. He played the piano, guitar, and the organ, playing in several local bands and with his two sons, Lincoln, who was the drummer, and Uriah who played the guitar. He played piano in churches and nursing home facilities. He was a member of the UCT, Eagles and the Moose. James loved all churches, therefore was a member in God’s church, serving the Lord. He is at a better place now.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph Uriah Stewart;
a sister, Thelma Deloris Pauley; a nephew, James Taylor Pauley; a brother-in-law, Marvin Pauley, Sr.; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, William Everett and Myrtle Elizabeth Easterling.
He is survived by his better half, Margie Stewart; two sons and a daughter-in-law, James L. VI and Traci Stewart of Ellsworth, AFB, South Dakota and Uriah Van Everett Stewart, and his fiancée, Jessica Rose Dalton of Ironton; five grandchildren, Kalinn Renee Stewart, James Lincoln Stewart VII, Uriah Van Everett Stewart II, Josiah Dalton Stewart and Sophia Isabella Stewart; a special niece, Cheryle Pauley of Ironton; two nephews, Marvin Pauley, Jr. and Joseph Conrad Pauley, both of Ironton; a special friend, Ray Bently; and many cousins and friends.
