KITTS HILL – Linda Sue Clement 63, of Kitts Hill, passed away Saturday Aug. 21, 2010, at Pike Community Hospital in Waverly. The Lawrence County native was born March 14, 1947, the daughter of Mabel Kelley Coffman and the late Cecil Coffman. She is survived by her husband, Gordon Ray Clement whom she married April 23, 1966.
Mrs. Clement was a graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School, a homemaker, and a member of Sugar Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by four sisters, Wanda Coffman, Sandra Coffman, Donna Faye Coffman and Mary Clement; and a brother, LeRoy Morgan.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lori and George Stewart of Kitts Hill; a sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Elmer Norris of Coal Grove; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Tom and Dorsey Morgan of Kitts Hill, Cecil Jr. and Sue Coffman of Kitts Hill, and Emmett Coffman of Kitts Hill; two grandchildren, Brittany Stewart and Shane Stewart, both of Kitts Hill.
Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Wednesday August 25, 2010 at Sugar Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Long and Rev. Clifford Gore officiating. Body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street.
