GLENNA COMER

Glenna A. Comer, 82, of Ironton, passed away Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, at a local health care center. The Ironton native was born Oct. 24, 1927, the daughter of the late John T. and Hazel Stapleton Comer.
Ms. Comer attended Coal Grove School, was a homemaker and a member of Sugar Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She lived all her life in Lawrence County.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia “Judy” Jones and Edna M. Comer; three brothers, Dick, James and Ralph Comer; sister-in-law, Allene Comer; special nephews, Todd Jones and Jack Comer Jr.; and
niece: Beulah “Boots” Comer.
She is survived by two brothers and sisters in law, Don and Wanda Comer of Coal Grove and Jack and Betty Comer, both of Ironton; two special nieces, Teresa Hughes and Dee Dee Jones; and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Don Comer and Pastor Mike Long officiating.  Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery.
