PEDRO — Christy Lee Burke-Kelly, 51, of Pedro passed away Thursday July 29, 2010, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. The Ironton native was born August 24, 1958, the daughter of James Calvin and Bonnie Jo Preston Burke of Ironton.
Christy was a 1976 graduate of Rock Hill High School and was a homemaker. She attended the First Tabernacle Church in Ironton. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and two uncles, Roger and Ray Preston.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Jack A. Kelly of Pedro; a grandson, Bryce Kelly of Pedro; daughter and son-in-law, Stella K. Kelly-Delawder and Tim Delawder of Ironton; daughter and companion; Stacey Jo Kelly and Bill Lange of Columbus; daughter and companion, Susan Renae Kelly and Matthew Withrow of Columbus; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah Nicole Kelly-Smith and Oliver Smith of Louisville, Ky.; granddaughter, Kiyah Wright of Columbus; grandson, Isaiah Kelly of Ironton; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Betty Jo Burke of Ironton; brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Patricia Burke of Ironton, brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Lisa Burke of Ironton; sister, Kathy Kouns of Hurricane, W.Va., and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday August 1, 2010 at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St.Ironton with the Rev. Danny Pancake, Brother Dave Schug and the Rev. Don Delawder officiating. Burial will follow in Preston Family Cemetery in Greenup, Ky. Friends may call Sunday from 1 p.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.
