Clara Wilson, 91, of Ironton passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010, at a local health care center. The Wayne County, W. Va. native was born July 19, 1918, the daughter of the late Lucian Gillispie and Mary Virgie Smith Gillispie.
She attended Wayne County Schools and was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Glenn Wilson; a son, Woody Wilson; grandson, Brian Wilson; and granddaughter, Thelma Webb Clara is survived by a daughter, Mary Wagner; a brother, Herchal Gillispie; sister, Jewell Murnahan; sister, Effie McFann; sister, Ruth Adkins; sister, Gladys Cox; sister, Haley Howell; granddaughters, Eugenia Jarrell, Vanessa Clark, Ellen Shubert, Stephanie Wagner, Angie Wilson, Rhonda Bridges and Chrissy Wilson; grandson, Rusty Wilson; and 18 great- grandchildren.
