MILTON — Ray B. Preston “Caledonia”, 75, of Milton, died Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at his residence.
He was born April 20, 1935, in Catlettsburg, Ky. He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Espie and Belvy Preston; mother and stepfather, Ernestine and Gordon Salyers; two granddaughters; and two brothers, Roger and Lark Preston. Mr. Preston worked in the construction business all his life and was self-employed for 25 years. He attended Guyan Creek Church and Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Nellie M. Preston; two daughters, Terri Preston-Wilson and her husband, Tim, and Becky Little; three sons and daughters-in-law, Johney and Sybil Preston, Bernard and Kim Preston and Jeffrey and Pam Preston; siblings, Mary and Happy Davis, Bonnie and James Burke, Janet Ramsey, David and Evelyn Preston, Anita Preston, Danny and Kathy Preston, Lena and Floyd Maynard, Vickie and James Hager and Trudy and Lonnie Ellis; 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral service was conducted Friday at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with the Rev. Don Reynolds officiating. Burial followed in the Preston and Ball Cemetery, Milton.
