SOUTH POINT — Robert Johnson, 48, of South Point, died Sunday, May 30, 2010, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland,Ky., after a long illness.
Robert was born Sept. 16, 1961, in Ironton. He was a graduate of South Point High School and a repairman at Clay’s Trailer Sales.
He was preceded in death by his biological mother, Freda Villars.
Robert is survived by his parents, Bobby and Margaret Johnson of South Point; two sons, James Early of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Charles Robert Johnson, II of South Point; seven siblings, Bertha Allen of Florida, Debra Baxley of N.C., Tina Freeman of South Point, Jeff Johnson of South Point, John Johnson of Florida, and twins, Sheila and Willis Childers of South Point; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Greg Riggs.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Pemberton officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point.Friends may call from noon – 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
