MORRISTOWN, Tenn. — Helen Frances Townsend, 91, of Morristown. passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010, at the Jefferson County Nursing Home in Dandridge.  She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Townsend; parents, Charles and Addie Robinson; and sister Mary Williams.
She is survived by three sons, Greg Townsend and his wife, Pat, Glen Townsend and his wife Sandra, and Tim Townsend and his wife, Lisa; daughter, Letitia Gantt and her husband, Jack; grandchildren, Robin Geddes, Wendy Harder, Tiffany Marshall, Jacquline Snodgrass, Timmy Townsend, Kelly Townsend and Kelton Townsend; several great grandchildren; a brother, Charles Robinson and his wife, Abby of Ironton; sister-in-law; Jenny DeLong and her husband, Henry of South Point.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Mayes Family Services downtown chapel in Morristown.  A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Hamblen Memory Gardens with Rev. David Williams of Hillcrest Baptist Church presiding.   Prayer will be by Mike Sutton of Centerview Missionary Baptist Church.
