SOUTH POINT — Mitchel Lee Kirk, 64, of South Point, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.
He was born April 19, 1945, a son of Arizona Viars of South Point and the late Jasper F. Kirk. Mitchel was formerly employed in the medical field with Pulleys Care Center with more than three years of service, the River’s Bend Health System of Burlington and as an operating room technologist at Lawrence General Hospital with more than 27 plus years of service.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie Webb and Sheila Kirk.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 35 years, Nancy Kirk; and a brother, Roger Kirk of South Point.
Funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday at the Brown Funeral Chapel with Pastor Charles Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Getaway Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Friday and an hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral chapel.
