RITA RUTLEDGE WOLFE

FAIRFIELD — Rita Ann Rutledge Wolfe, 82, of Fairfield, passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield.
The Ironton native was born May 8, 1927, the daughter of the late Les and Orpha Rutledge. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis Ellwood Wolfe who passed away Feb. 26, 2008.
Mrs. Wolfe was a graduate of Ironton High School and the Bethesda School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse and worked in public health in the cities of Ironton and Portsmouth. She was also a member of the Lucasville Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by two sisters, Ivis Siple and Sally Cooke.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, John Raymond and Hazel Wolfe of Mt. Sterling, Ky., and Brian Wolfe of Cincinnati; a granddaughter, Samantha Wolfe Lisle and her husband Chris of Mt. Sterling, Ky.; and a sister, Midge Corn of Columbus.
Funeral services will be noon Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
