FRANKLIN FURNACE — Phyllis Amburn Crank, 78, of Franklin Furnace, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, at her son’s home in Waukesha, Wisc.
She was born Feb. 4, 1931, in Pedro to the late Delbert Amburn and Marcella Besco Amburn. Phyllis enjoyed quilting and loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Levi Crank, who died Jan. 30, 1998.
Phyllis is survived by three sons, Danny (Brenda) Crank of Waukesha, Phillip (Shelia) Crank of Franklin Furnace, and John (Cheryl) Crank of Franklin Furnace; three grandchildren, Jon Crank of Waukesha, Kisha (Kenny) Kelly of South Point, and Phillip Crank II of Franklin Furnace, and two great-grandchildren, Morgan and Levi Crank. She is also survived by her stepmother, Delilah Amburn of Fairborn; two sisters, Thelma West, Ida (Jerry) Cooper of Fairborn; three brothers, Delbert Jr. (Cheryl) Amburn, Zell (Cheryl) Amburn, and Robert (Hyon-Mi) Amburn, all of Fairborn, and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her precious ShihTzu, Tiny.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Pastor Rick Mollette officiating. Interment will follow at Junior Furnace Cemetery in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Friday and one hour before the service Saturday at the funeral home. Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville is handling the arrangements.
