MIDDLEPORT — E. Mae Morgan, 87, of Middleport, died Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at Overbrook Nursing Home in Middleport.
The Lawrence County native was born Dec. 10, 1922, the daughter of the late Lewis and Ethel Large Harrison. She was also preceded in the death by her husband, Dale Morgan.
Mrs. Morgan attended Pedro Schools and was a lifelong member of Zoar Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Leggitt’s Department Store in Ironton.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, the Rev. William Harrison, Edward Harrison, Lonnie Harrison, Junior Harrison,and Robert Harrison; and three sisters, Mildred Kitts, Betty Allen, and Imagene Hilgenberg.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Brenda Morgan of Ironton and Larry and Theresa Morgan of Middleport; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Beals officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery. Friends may call 10 – 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
