ASHLAND, Ky. — Evelyn Kaylor, 90, of Ashland passed away Wednesday Jan. 6, 2010, at her home.
Evelyn was born Nov. 22, 1919, in Hinton, W.Va., daughter of the late Louis “High” Phillip  and Ester Lee West Simmons. She enjoyed working at the C.H. Parsons Co. for many years, enjoyed sewing and loved reading her Bible.
“Nannie” leaves behind five grandchildren, Don Kaylor of Cocoa, Fla., Jacki (Chuck) Bishop of Ironton, Rebecca (Clyde) Honacker of Columbus, Regina Whitley of Cardington, and Steven Kaylor of Columbus; five great-grandchildren, Miranda Spillman, Michael Bishop, Bryanna Whitley, Nate Whitley and Patricia Lang. Also surviving are great-great-grandsons, Aaron Spillman, Dakota Spillman and Scottie Bishop and  daughter-in-law Patricia Kaylor. Evelyn was  “Nanna” to many children, especially Patrick.
Mrs. Kaylor was also preceded in death by her husband Wayman W. Kaylor in 1977, and two sons, Don Lee Kaylor and Thomas Scott Kaylor.
A funeral service for Evelyn Kaylor will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home on Panola Street, Catlettsburg. Ky. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends is Monday, 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
