SOUTH POINT — Norma J. Hall, 85, of South Point, passed away Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.
The Ironton native was born Aug. 4, 1924, the daughter of the late James and Effie Hughes Simpson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Homer Hall, Jr.
Mrs. Hall was a graduate of Ironton High School. She was a former sales clerk for the South Point Staley’s Pharmacy for 15 years and attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Ironton.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mayme Sark and Verna Mae Perkins and three brothers, Bill Simpson, Ralph Simpson, and Emmett Simpson.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley A. Robertson of South Point and Diana Houser of Huntington, W.Va.; a son, Daniel L. Robertson of South Point; two grandchildren, Sherry A. Wagner and Cynthia L. Rickman both of South Point; four great-grandchildren, Daniel K. Wagner of South Point, Ashley B. Wagner of Pedro, Seth M. Rickman and Chase W. Rickman both of Wheelersburg; three great-great-grandchildren, Bethanie Bonders, Paytin K. Wagner and Kaleigh Wagner, all of Orrville and a sister, Ruth E. Kelley of South Point.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Jean Rose Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
