David Murdock
David Murdock, 73, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. The Lawrence County native was born Jan. 29, 1941, the son of Chester Murdock and Jean Stumbo Murdock Perkins. He is survived by his wife, Kay Ravencraft Webb Murdock, whom he married Dec. 6, 1985.
Mr. Murdock was a graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School and a former boiler operator for the South Point Ethanol Plant. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Ironton and Ashland with a Pilgrim Degree, a member of the Ironton VFW, the Ironton Elks and the Ashland Eagles. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dwaine Murdock and Don Murdock; and a sister, Idabell McCarter.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, David Darren Murdock, of Ironton; a sister, Donna (Keith) Caudill, of Greenville, S.C.; two stepdaughters, Letitia “Tish” French, and Pamela Ackison, both of Ironton; a stepson, William “Hoss” Webb, of Ironton; six grandchildren, Christina Willis, Derrick French, Julie (Jarod) Warren, Katie French, Tiffany (Mike) Newman and Willie (Mary Beth) Webb; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Loyal Order of Moose Pilgrim services will be 8 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home followed by the funeral service with the Rev. Leon Dalton and the Rev. Mike Greene officiating. Charlyese Riley
Charlyese (Char) Riley, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014.
Charlyese is survived by her husband, Tom Riley, former WSAZ weatherman; and her mother, Dorothy Tucker, of North Carolina.
Char formerly owned Bloom’n Candy Bouquets in Ironton and Dallas Weekend Ski Tours in Texas. She was a graduate of West Texas State University and taught art in Dallas area schools. She was an accomplished musician, jewelry designer and book cover artist.

A public memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Highland Memorial Gardens mausoleum in South Point. Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood, Ky., is in charge of arrangements.

Infant Landon Fetty
Infant Landon Ray Fetty, 31-week-old son of Gary and Roberta (Bobbi) Fetty, of Ironton, passed away Sunday March 2, 2014, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Shari Lilley and Homer Franklin Lilley; and his paternal grandfather, James McKinley.
In addition to his parents he is survived by two brothers, Isaiah and Tyler Dixon; three sisters, Emily, Johnda, andhis twin sister Lilyan Fetty; a stepbrother, Tristen Butler; paternal grandparents, Emma McKinley and John Fetty; and a host of family and friends.
A traditional Catholic funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father David Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at Brown Funeral Chapel where a Rosary service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Memorial donations should be made to the funeral chapel to help the family with final expenses.
His parents has entrusted his care to Brown Funeral Chapel at Ironton.

Norma Evans
Norma Louise Evans, 79, of Flatwoods, Ky., died Monday, March 3, 2014, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Guy Hubert Evans. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland, Ky., with pastor Shane Cox officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
