Allison Eastham

June 16, 1999 — Nov. 28, 2014

 

Allison Nicole Eastham, 15, of Ironton, passed away Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. The Ironton native was born June 16, 1999, a daughter of Carisa A. Collins and Tyler Grubbs, and Chester Eastham Jr. and Kelli Lane, all of Ironton.

Allison was a student at Ironton High School where she was a member of the marching band, the math club and the Spanish club.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Jacqueline Burns; and maternal great-grandmother, Vilma Rowe.

In addition to her parents, Allison is survived by a sister, Cara Eastham, of Ironton; a brother, Bradley Grubbs, of Ironton; stepsister, Johnnie Grubbs, of Grayson, Kentucky; paternal grandfather, Chester Eastham Sr. and Freda Delawder, of Ironton; maternal grandparents, Jan Cumpton and Glenn Caudill, of Ironton, and Greg and Angie Collins, of Ironton; several aunts, uncles nieces and nephews; and special friends, George, Carrie, Bryce and Tate Munion, all of Ironton.

Funeral services will be noon on Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home with Dr. Deron Newman officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.

 

 

Lillian Shuff

Nov. 2, 1931 — Nov. 29, 2014

 

Lillian Shuff, 83, of Pedro, passed away Friday, Nov. 29, 2014, at her residence. The Westwood, Kentucky, native was born Nov. 2, 1931, a daughter of the late Walter and Mintie Williams Barker.

Lillian was a graduate of Russell High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting and was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Thelma Neldains.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Samuel Dale Shuff, whom she married Aug. 22, 1953; son, Samuel Dale (Becky) Shuff Jr., of Interlachen, Florida; son, David Franklin Shuff, of Worthington, Kentucky; son, Alton Ernest (Kim) Shuff, of Pedro; grandsons, Jeff Shuff, of Kitts Hill, Scott Shuff, of Raceland, Sammy David Shuff Jr., of Gainesville, Florida, and Christopher Lee Shuff, of Florida; granddaughter, Minti (Jesse) Settle, of Pedro; brother, Hardy Barker, of Pedro; numerous great-grandchildren; and a special friend and caregiver, Kim Walls.
