AID — When it came to the idea of beating Green on Wednesday, Taylor Webb and Kaitlyn Payne were all “four” it.

Webb and Payne each drove in four runs as the Symmes Valley Lady Vikings beat the Green Lady Bobcats 15-1 in five innings.

Payne went 3-for-4 with a double while Webb was 2-4 with a double to help the Lady Vikings improved to 20-3 on the season and finish 14-0 in the Southern Ohio Conference.

The Lady Vikings combined eight hits with 11 walks to get the win. Tiara Hatfield, Sierra Ross and Caitlin Carpenter also had hits.

Payne had a two-run double and Ross and RBI single in a five-run first inning.

Webb singled in two runs and Payne had and RBI single in the third to make it 9-0.

Symmes Valley scored six runs in the fourth inning as Webb had a two-run single, Carpenter a two-run double and Payne another RBI single.

The game was senior night for the Lady Vikings’ Autumn Keathley and Brenna Morris.

Symmes Valley plays at Russell, Ky., on Thursday.
