COLUMBUS (AP) — The Ohio high school football state championship games will remain at Ohio Stadium in Columbus through at least 2016.

The Ohio High School Athletic Association announced Tuesday that a year had been added to the contract because of ongoing renovations at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton. Formerly known as Fawcett Stadium, the venue hosted the championship games from 1990 to 2013.

The games have been played in Columbus the past two seasons.
